Choose a favored bar of plain sweet or dark chocolate, preferably a quality gourmet variety. Do not use unsweetened baker's chocolate.

Mash the roasted, peeled garlic cloves, and spread on sliced french bread.

Break pieces of chocolate up and place on bread in garlic spread.

Toast bread in 450 degree oven for a few minutes until chocolate has melted. Remove from oven, and with a knife, spread melted chocolate evenly over bread and garlic.
