Coyote's Den

I met a neat lady at a pagan festival once, who related this bit of Coyote-ness to me.

She taught her seven-year-old nephew what kinds of things different animals say:

What does the cow say?
"Moo, moo!"

What does the cat say?
"Meow, meow!"

What does the dog say?
"Bark, bark!"

What does the pig say?
"Oink, oink!"

And what does Coyote say?
"Damn, baby, don't that hurt?"

Now, if "Damn, baby, don't that hurt?" isn't an archetypal Coyote response, I don't know what is.
